The information provided is only for reference purposes and should never be used as any form of medical advice or diagnosis. Before trying any new treatments or products to help manage your pain you should always consult your GP or a qualified medical practitioner.

A back support belt provides compression and support when needed, for example during physical activities such as bending and lifting. It keeps the area warm therefore providing heat and reducing pain. What type of exercise can I do - if any? Regular exercise is important both for alleviating and preventing back pain.

The two most important types of exercises are stretching and strengthening. These exercises can be done actively or with the help of aids. We do the Gym Balls which are very good for stretching exercises for the back and abdomen. Sissel Balance Board for lower leg and ankle and foot strengthening, and Sissel Sit Fit for back and pelvic floor exercises.
