Everybody talks about Zero Gravity in their seating products. But Human Touch lead the industry with innovative research that makes it possible to actually see and feel how the Zero Gravity Perfect Chair relieves stress.
You feel it all the time - muscles brace in response to stress movements. Those same muscles also need to relax when the movement is finished. Start a movement in pain, and muscles continue to fire even after the movement stops. This learned response can create a chronic condition as the muscles repeatedly deviate from normal healthy patterns. The result can be continuous pain. You might call it “That nagging back ache”.
Human Touch's test was conducted using proprietary ProformaVision dynamic Surface Electromyography (sEMG). sEMG measures the amount of electrical activity our muscles emit when contracting. Look at the data graph above. When first sitting down the lumbar muscles are tense and firing at 20mμV. By the time the subject has arrived at the ZeroGravity recline position, the muscle stress is cut in half and remains flat, completely stress free. An added bonus: this neutral posture position allows the spine to elongate completely relieving excess pressure on the delicate spinal column discs.
"As the Perfect Chair reclines, the muscles instantaneously start relaxing. When the chair reaches neutral posture there is a huge reduction in the state of muscle irritation, establishing objectively that the Perfect Chair promotes spinal health."
