All Contessa Chairs have a mesh back but you can choose whether to have a mesh or cloth cushioned seat.

Ergonomic Concept
The Contessa series features comfortable seating and a synchro-reclining mechanism, as well as Okamura’s own “smart operation” that enables the user to make adjustments to match the user’s natural posture while sitting. Levers at the front of the armrests adjust the seat height and reclining angle, achieving a level of comfort and ease of use far superior to other office chairs.
Armrests
You can easily adjust the reclining angle with the lever located in the left armrest. You can adjust the arm pads up to 30˚ (20˚ inward and 10˚outward) to give you comfortable elbow support when using a computer or doing other tasks. You can easily adjust the ratchet-style armrest up to 100mm while sitting.

Seat and Mesh
A newly developed mesh reduces fatigue from long hours of work. You can easily adjust the seat height up to a maximum of 130mm with the lever in the right armrest. A lever positioned underneath seat for easy reach enables you to easily slide the seat backward or forward up to 50mm.

Innovative Reclining
The left armrest lever adjusts reclining angle. You can choose either free rocking or your favorite angle (in five positions). A dial for adjusting rocking resistance enables you to set the reclining resistance to meet your body shape and posture while sitting.
Lumbar Support
The lumbar support gives your back comfortable support. You can adjust the lumbar support backward and forward up to 15mm, and up and down up to 60mm.
Castors
The ergonomic office chair rolls on large diameter 75mm castors to minimize resistance when moving while seated and reduces strain on the lower back. Please note: With Okamura Chairs Soft Castors are for Hard Floors and Hard Castors are for Carpets.
