The Varier Variable (previously known as the Stokke Variable) kneeling chair encourages a natural and active sitting position when used for working, studying, and as a supplementary chair in most rooms of the home.

Launched by Stokke over 20 years ago, and now made by Varier it is still outlasting and beating its many imitators. Made in Norway it has a very strong construction with a 7 year warranty and yet easy to move around.

Available in a choice of Fame (Wool blend), Dinamica (faux suede) or Leather fabrics and Natural, Black or Mocca stained Beech wood (see additional info for stain examples).

Have been using this chair for a long time. I work as a journalist and spend long hours in front of a screen and sitting at a desk, so my back tends to suffer. With this chair I found my back finds a good posture and I can sit for hours without trouble. It is also useful if I want to change slightly my body positicon. An excdellent investment. The only thing I had to do is change the material convering the seat and the kneeling pads, as the material ( especially on the left knee pad ) got used after some years. II took it to be changed and the guy at the upholstery shop did not know what it was for... but he changed the material without problem.
